Phase I of the Flood Risk Management Scheme for the Kent Catchment, in Kendal town.
Provision of raised defences along the entire reach of the Rivers Kent and Mint from Mint Bridge Road in the north to Kendal Wastewater Treatment Works in the south. Compensatory flood plain storage is also required as part of this option (see Phase II and III). A new pumping station to be located at Gooseholme on the Stock Beck outfall will pump water from Stock Beck.
