Upgrade sewer network in Burneside

To account for the further growth in the wider Kendal catchment, and to resolve the pollution incidents to the river Kent, United Utilities will be upgrading the sewer network in the village of Burneside by increasing the size of 740m of pipes in the area and building a new pumping station (more information here).
Current status: working through planning application, planning to carry out a further public drop in event.
