A focus needs to be on improving the habitat of the spawning/ nursery areas.

The priority areas for the Duddon have been identified, but work needs to be undertaken to identify those on the River Lickle, Black Beck and Whicham Beck.

Duddon spawning areas for improvement: Hardknott Gill, Tarn Beck, Crosby Gill, Holehouse Gill, Logan Beck, Black Syke, Dry Beck.
