The River Restoration Strategy is a Cumbrian Wide strategy looking to re-natural and re-connect rivers. 2016 projects in South Cumbria included the removal of an embankment at Staveley, re-profiling of a straightened section in the upper catchment of the River Kent and natural bank protection at Jumb Quarry.
This project is on-going and will continue to develop projects such as these across the Kent catchment.
