2017 – A Year In Review

Wow! What a year it has been for the Becks to Bay partnership. We’ve really grown, developed and delivered this year and it wouldn’t have been possible without you.

2017 has seen the delivery of a wide number of projects. Not only that but it has also seen some exciting new partnership opportunities arising and new connections evolving.

A major development was the publication of this website which we hope you find a useful tool for learning more about your local area, what’s going on in South Cumbria and how to make a difference – the opportunities are endless and we’re always open to your suggestions. We’d really love to hear more of them on our discussion boards.

Looking Forward to 2018

The Weir at Sprint Mill (1953)

We have lots of ideas to make 2018 even bigger and better. Something we’re really excited about is progressing our catchment wide community project on the River Kent looking at heritage, wildlife, natural flood management and community arts. Additionally, our South Cumbria Catchment Management Group will continue to evolve, delivering projects, communicating results and outcomes and innovating to achieve more. We are also looking to develop our community side with more arts, crafts, events and volunteering opportunities coming your way.

What’s your vision for 2018?

Finally, a big thank you! Whether you are a community member, business owner, landowner, tourist or local stakeholder you all shape this partnership into what it is and we couldn’t do it with out you.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
