Elterwater lake restoration and invasive non-native species project to include restoring the inflow of Great Langdale Beck into Elterwater (the historic channel has been blocked with gabion baskets and the river diverted) and invasive plant species control. As well as reedbed and native hydrosere macrophyte restoration and the installation of floating platforms for nesting grebes.
This project is funded by the EU under the Water Environment Grant scheme.
