Brathay/ Little Langdale Habitat Improvements

Following previous work on protected species this project will seek to further improve river habitat through the removal of revetments, large woody debris installation and through the creation of riparian buffer strips. Another aspect of the project will build on the heavy metals monitoring work which has been undertaken to formulate a feasibility study and investigate options for mitigating the impacts of heavy metals on the aquatic environment in the upper reaches of the Little Langdale Valley.
